Women’s creative work has been delegitimized since, well, the beginning of time. Or at least since people have been distributing their art with one another.
Now, we see circles of women growing. We see fully feminine artistic communities blossoming. We hear women’s names being taken seriously, but do these women still feel delegitimized?
We spoke to Victoria Long in the first episode of our podcast “GIRLTALK”, who’s shown below. She’s a Toronto filmmaker.
Embroidery, film, and curating are the primary areas of art we explored. We spoke to Brianna Hoy and Pam Lobb about these mediums and roles at Graven Feather, the gallery that they work together at.
