The Church and Wellesley Village has undergone significant changes over the past few years, with local Queer businesses closing and skyrocketing rent prices; the area has not only gotten smaller, but the environment has shifted. Tom Gallagher, Andrea Houston and Hiba Younus all spoke to their experiences in the village, spanning different generations. From a journalist to a worker at Crews & Tangos, an iconic spot that was at risk of gentrification, the Village has fostered a welcoming environment and a safe space for Queer individuals and groups, which is now at risk of slowly being taken away.
