In the modern world of dating apps, there is still a place where you can meet people and find love without swiping: the dance floor.
Homeless people in Toronto are consistently ignored and stigmatized. One woman is trying to make a difference for homeless people in Toronto. Laura Hesp has a strong connection to homelessness and is looking to not only help the community but to also work towards breaking its stereotype. Hesp created the T-shirt company, Inclusive Love Apparel, which promotes love and inclusion over division. Also, she partnered with Eva’s Initiatives, a foundation that has created shelters and programs for homeless youth across downtown Toronto. Majority of the proceeds from each shirt goes to the foundation, to help uplift and shelter the homeless youth of Toronto. Michelle Song tells us Hesp’s story.
