Welcome to Audio Inquiry with Maya and Sam, where we ask the questions you want to hear. This podcast aims to talk about issues of the world that are often […]
Grief Grows is the first episode of a podcast series exploring people’s relationships with grief and loss. A recent loss in producer Apurva Bhat’s life inspired the creation of this podcast. Growing up, Bhat was always terrified of the idea of losing a loved one to death. When it happened, she realized just how little we discuss grief and its impacts, inspiring this idea further.
For this podcast, Bhat spoke with three people, Sunni, a volunteer at a local Toronto hospice completing her master’s in social work, Mohit Jhamnani, a student at Centennial College completing a supply chain management course and Haley Sengsavanh, a fourth-year journalism student at Toronto Metropolitan University. The three individuals discussed their relationship with each of the people they lost as well as what impacts the losses had on them and what has changed for them since.
Grief Grows is an attempt to provide folks with a safe platform to discuss their grief, regardless of how uncomfortable or scary it may feel. By discussing our grief and listening to other’s experiences with it, we may realize that we’re not isolated. Listen more:
