Look, But Don’t Touch: An Examination of Sexism & Harassment in the Cosplay Community
At Toronto Comic Con, three outspoken women get dressed up to dress some folks down.
Two very different people open up about their failed friendships and explain why they are convinced that men and women cannot be “just friends”. Being close friends with the sex you are naturally attracted to is difficult, especially when you spend the rawest moments with them. This podcast episode dives deep into the stories of two heterosexual people who at first, were convinced they could be just friends with the opposite sex. Emotional connection and physical attraction get in the way and their friendships end. When reliving these memories, each individual explores what it means to be “just friends” and if it’s possible to prevent their meaningful friendships from falling apart when the definition of being “just friends” is tested.
