Palooza Beer Pong Festival went from a small back yard party to an event that hosts about three-thousand people every year.
Ryan Pownall built this record-holding event from the ground up with the help of his parents who contributed by rallying people they knew to volunteer, making the majority of Palooza volunteers over the age of 60.
Pownall had to overcome a lot of hurdles in the making of this festival such as being blocked from Airbnb, struggling with finding a way to staff the event and in the end, he learned through trial and error.
After owning a few clubs in Ottawa, he gained connections to people like Bam Margera from Jackass and rapper Riff Raff who can be seen promoting the event in a video posted to Pownall’s Instagram.

This large-scale party is all for a good cause, donating a portion of its profits to the CHEO Foundation and contributing to families of children who need medical support.
