The city of Toronto faces two main issues: food waste and food insecurity.
While it may seem like there should be a simple solution, there isn’t. However, an intrepid group has taken the problem into their own hands with a creative solution; dumpster diving. Dumpster divers search for what others have thrown out. Often, grocery and retail stores discard perfectly good items based on arbitrary rules.
