The power of music, listening and creating it, is an almost unexplainable feeling. Many people find catharsis through the art form. In this mini doc, RSJ reporter Lyba Mansoor sits down with artist Rayhan Jabbar who is all too familiar with the power music, specifically rap, holds. Jabbar, a student, musician, actor, and comedian, takes us on his journey of creating an EP alongside his fellow creative friends. Listeners get an intimate look- or listen, on what drove Jabbar to creating the EP, entitled Ain’t That Deep. We hear what inspired the artist, and find out what the process of creating the pieces looked like for him. Here’s his story.
