A quick Google search for “Tony Duggan-Smith” will yield similar results to if you searched “Really really awesome guitars” instead, as well as bring up Tony’s career as a rock star while he played guitar for the band The Pukka Orchestra, based out of Toronto. They reached peak stardom after winning the CASBY Award for “Most Promising Band” in 1985, but since then, Tony’s lent his hands more to the art of building beautiful guitars.
I sat down with Tony at the Cabbagetown house turned-workshop, owned by fellow luthier Linda Manzer, where Tony does much of his building.
